News overload...

Well, a lot has happened this past week in the way of news. It seems like the world is somehow trying to make up for the previous couple of boring news weeks by overloading us this week.

Since I last blogged about such things, Samuel Alito was confirmed and sworn in as the newest associate justice of the Supreme Court, John Boehner was elected the new House majority leader, Coretta Scott King, Betty Friedan, and Al Lewis who played "Grandpa" on the Munters's all died, Cheryl Crow dumped that loser boyfriend of hers, Reggie White and Troy Aikman are going into the Football Hall 0f Fame, over a thousand people died in that Egyptian boat wreck, and Iran has announced plans to resume uranium enrichment.

Très choquant, on that last one. First one too.

In the meantime, my class has gone from ethical mootheism and the documentary hypothesis to progressive revelation and prophets vs. the Law in pre-exilic Hebrew culture.

Ooooh.

AND....drumroll please....

I've lost about five more pounds. Woo-hoo...

Tschuss, mi amigos.

The study of Hebrew biology...

Wow! I guess it's been a couple of days since I posted anything. I did not do this purposely, I just had a lot going on and bloggin', it seems, is moving further and further down my list of priorties.

There's work, I mean you gotta work, right, so that takes a little bit of my time.

Family, church and everything else I do.

And then my education. That's actually taking more time than work these days!

Here's a funny and true (mostly) story: A friend asked me what I'm studying.

I wasn't sure if he meant in generally or specifically - so I took the specific route...

Bad idea.

I said, "ethical monotheism and the documentary hypothesis".

He then said, "I didn't know you were majoring in biology."

Yeah, me neither.

!

?

At this point, I could say something that would be a little too obvious.
